RB says he supports gun control bill; fails to follow through

The Chicago Tribune (Christi Parsons and Erika Slife) has an article about Blagojevich trying to finesse gun control legislation.
Does Blagojevich believe licensing firearm dealers will help reduce or detect the firearms flowing to criminals? How expensive would it be to implement such a system? If it's effective at reducing firearm violent crime, is this price too high?

Although he has promised to back Daley's package, on Tuesday some gun control advocates were questioning Blagojevich's sincerity.Does Blagojevich support limiting the number of handguns purchased per month? If he does, why isn't he pushing to make it law?

ABC7 Chicago has a piece about Daley saying the media is trying to bait him into a public fued with Blagojevich.
Here's the "Daley Double" quote:
"Everybody is trying to get me to fight the governor. That's kind of the gig you guys got going, you know that. It's a gig and you want me to scream and yell about the governor and you say, 'Mayor Daley fights the governor.' That's all you're trying to do. It's really a gig, and you're the best 'giggers.' Everybody knows that. You need a show and I'm not going to give it to you."
